A Gold Mine daughter with ribbons of her own. Hubbells Golden Special was bred by Garrett Hubbell and born May 16, 2020. She's by Gold Mine 1 and out of WS Midnight Special. Gold Mine 1 is a five time Horn Showcase winner. As a young bull he won his class at the 2016 Rocky Mountain Winchester Futurity and was high point out of all 104 entries there. He's gone on to measure a little better than 86 inches tip to tip. His sire is Cowboy Catchit Chex, and his dam, 2A Daisy Duke, is a Rio Blanco Chex daughter. Golden Special's dam, WS Midnight Special, is by Concealed Weapon, the Horseshoe J bred bull that has measured 88⅝ inches tip to tip. Her granddam, WS Midnight, goes back to Julio's Thunder and Jamoca. She didn't wait long to make a name for herself. At the 2021 Horn Showcase in Fort Worth she was named HSC Superior Heifer, TTT and Futurity Winner, and she took Class 3 Champion for May through July 2020 heifers. She's kept growing since and measured 83¼ inches tip to tip in March 2026. She's also the dam of our heifer SC Aurelia 20G Special by Hubbells 20 Gauge, which puts Concealed Weapon on both sides of that calf. Golden Special is a cow we lean on, and we expect her to keep paying us back.
