Big horn families on both sides. SC Hydro Belle is a heifer calf born September 27, 2025, by WS Hydro and out of BL Twisting Tuff. WS Hydro is a Rio Bravo Chex son out of WS Shine Down. His record notes that his dam, granddam and great granddam all measured over 85 inches tip to tip, and he's measured 81⅛ inches himself. Rio Bravo Chex brings in JP Rio Grande, and Shine Down goes back to WS Amazon and WS Sun Star. Her dam is one of our best. BL Twisting Tuff is an own daughter of Cowboy Tuff Chex, the first bull ever to measure over 100 inches and a bull that sold for $165,000. Guinness lists him for the longest horn spread on a living bull, and he last measured 108⅛ inches. Twisting Tuff's dam is RRR Miss Rita J 608, a WS Jamakizm daughter, and Twisting Tuff herself has measured 89¼ inches tip to tip. Belle measured 15⅞ inches tip to tip in March 2026, at about six months old. It's early, but she's off to a good start. This is the kind of pairing we're after. A bull out of a long line of big horned cows, put on one of our own cows with real numbers of her own. Belle has about as much horn behind her as we could pack into one calf, and we'll be watching her close.
